Opening Night Gala & 4th Annual Canadian Salsa Championships

Location: Westin Harbour Castle Hotel, One Harbour Square, Toronto.

8:00pm Doors open
9:00pm - 10:00pm Canadian Salsa Championships - Professional Division, Amateur Division, Pro-Am Salsa Division, Pro-Am Hustle Division
10:00pm - 2:00am Dancing to guest DJs including Henry Knowles (New York)
Price: $20 per person in advance, $25 at the door.

Note for competitors:
All competitors must check in at 7:00pm to choose the order for competing and give their music to stage manager.
Competitors may do a quick run-through between 6pm and 7pm.

8:00pm Doors open. General seating for shows (Metro Ballroom)
9:00-11:00pm Dance performances
11:00pm-4:00am Dance ’till dawn

10:00am-6:00pm  Snack Stop open outside Frontenac Ballroom for quick meals & snacks
10:30am-5:00pm Beginner Bootcamp Workshops
10:30am-5:30pm Workshops (3 different workshops every hour)

12:30pm-1:00pm Lunch Break
1:00pm-2:00pm Lunch & Learn Salsa Seminar (History of Salsa Part 1 with Albert Torres & Tito Orots + dance workshops)

5:00pm-5:30pm Salsa Stretch Class

5:00-7:00pm Technical Rehearsal for this evening’s performances
8:00pm Doors open. General seating for shows.
9:00-11:00pm Dance performances
11:30pm Live Band: Direct from Puerto Rico, Orquesta de Menor a Mayor with guest singer Ismael Rivera Jr. in a tribute to his father, the late Ismael Rivera, "el sonero mayor"
11:00pm-4:00am Dance ’till dawn

4:00pm-5:00pm Student  Showcase - performances open to everyone with Full Pass or Sunday Pass or $10 at the door.
