Zero Tolerance for noise in guestrooms after 11pm. The Royal York is very strict about loud noise in guestrooms after 11pm. Although we book hundreds of rooms at the hotel, they are spread out amongst all the different floors and there are hundreds of hotel guests that are not part of our event sharing the same floors as us. The hotel security will give a warning and if they are called back to the same room twice, they can evict you from the hotel. Please party down in the ballrooms and the ballroom foyers!!
Practice Room - This year the hotel has provided us with the following rooms for practice and teaching private lessons:
Confederation 5/6 (mezzanine) Wednesday to Sunday (before 7pm only on Friday, Saturday & Sunday)
Salon B (convention floor beside Concert Hall) Saturday & Sunday during the day
Toronto room (convention floor beside the Canadian) Saturday and Sunday
Please do not practice and teach privates in the public areas of the hotel.
